I live alone and a celery bunch is basically a week long commitment I can't keep. Put one in the drawer and the celery actually snapped on day nine. Not magic, I still eat the stuff fast. But it's the first thing that gave me more days without me having to do anything.
I buy the big healthy haul every Sunday and by Friday I'm performing last rites on half of it. Berries, spring mix, peppers, the whole sad parade. I tossed a pod in the crisper mostly out of desperation. The blackberries made it to day six without anything fuzzy at the bottom, which has literally never happened.
